TITLE VI POLICY STATEMENT
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDot) and the Milford Council on Aging is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation, denied benefits, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity, on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

According to the SNAP Program, formerly food stamps, there have been significant changes; increasing income limits to $20,036 annual for a single person and $26,955 for a couple.In addition, the asset test has been eliminated. The benefits have been increased and now range from $16.00 to $200.00 a month for a single person and $16.00 - $367.00 for two.
There is also a new program, the SafeLink Wireless phone program which provides a free cell phone and 64 free minutes a month. The unused minutes roll over.Qualifying for programs such as ConnPACE appear to qualify one for the cell phone program.
