May 7 Sunday Stratford Community Band – 2:00 p.m. “Swing Into Spring” with familiar musical pieces performed in the swing style. Arranged by Wayne Hiller. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.
May 8 Monday Mother’s Day Tea- 1:00 p.m. Join us! Tea, finger sandwiches and dessert will be served. Instrumental music performed by JP Shannon Jr. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in the front office, until Wednesday May 3rd. Entertainment sponsored by Milford Health & Rehabilitation Center.

May 17 Wednesday Avocado Oil, Peanut oil, Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil?!! What is the Difference? – 1:00 p.m. Are you wondering what would be the best to sauté with, or use fresh for dressing? Join ShopRite of Milford’s Registered Dietitian and Pharmacist for the low down on all things oils! Kristen will take you through the many oils and their benefits, while Alex will break down the chemistry of digestion in our bodies. In the end we will try a delicious new recipe!

May 23 Tuesday Glimpses of Conservation History: Past Lessons & Future Choices - 1:00 p.m. Steve Johnson, Milford’s Open Space & Natural Resource Agent, offers a look back at how our European settlement has shaped Milford, both positively & negatively over the past 378 years. Learn about wildlife species that have been successfully re-introduced to parts of our landscape. Realize how the changes, over time, to our land and wildlife offer a perspective on what Milford is today and how the choices of today will shape Milford for future generations.

May 30 Tuesday Literary Lunch Book Club- This groups meets the last Tuesday of the month, they would love to have you join them. This month’s book is Little Bee by Chris Cleve.
May 31 Wednesday Disrupt Aging - 1:00 p.m. This workshop is designed to foster conversations among people of all ages, including professionals, community collaborators and consumers who are passionate about aging issues. Join together as a community to explore aging from a new perspective. This program is being brought to you in collaboration with AARP and Borrow My Glasses.
