Sundays and Mondays Tax Preparation – The VITA Program will be providing free income tax preparation for all ages and low income families on Sundays 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Mondays 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. January 27 - April 15. Wednesdays, Thursdays Tax Preparation – AARP volunteers will be providing free income tax and Fridays preparation from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday February 6 - April 12. Participants are required to register by calling 203-877-5131.
February 4 Monday Lessons On Happiness - 1:00 p.m. Join us in viewing the video of a TED Talk by Robert Waldinger, What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness. TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks that began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics from science to business to global issues. February 5 Tuesday Healthy Lungs & Winter Wellness – 1:00 p.m. Learn the importance of keeping lungs healthy and knowing signs and symptoms of respiratory disorders. This talk will review specific exercises and foods that can help with making lungs stronger and less prone to breathing issues. This presentation also educates on ways to stay protected and minimize illness during the winter flu season. Presented by Village of Angels Home Health Care LLC.
February 11 Monday February is Heart Healthy Month! -1:00 p.m. Join Atrinity Home Health Nurse Educator, Jennifer McManus, RN as she discusses: What is Heart Disease and Stroke, Signs and Symptoms, Chain of Survival, Risk Factors, Preventative Measures, Living a Healthy Lifestyle, Diet and Exercise, and Blood Pressure Screening. This program will encourage participation and will conclude with questions and answers in addition to a Mindful Meditation. We look forward to seeing you!
