Meals on Wheels Program

Home

Homebound seniors and disabled individuals can receive home delivered meals on a temporary basis. Meals on Wheels is also a contractor with the CT Home Care Program for Elders and the Department of Social Services. Ask your caseworker how you can receive the service.

Another considerable benefit to Meals On Wheels is that the drivers who deliver the food to their customers are committed to reducing the isolation experienced by so many elderly. Frequently the driver may be the only person providing human contact and a safety net, particularly to those seniors who live alone.

Information and referral services are available to those who use Meals On Wheels. Please contact Marie W. Vaughn, Meals on Wheels Coordinator for information on applying for this program.
