Meals On Wheels

Homebound seniors and disabled individuals 60+ can receive home delivered meals on a temporary basis. Individuals under 60 years of age who are disabled and/or a spouse of an individual receiving Meals on Wheels services are program eligible. Meals on Wheels is also a contractor with the CT Home Care Program for Elders and the Department of Social Services.

Another considerable benefit to Meals On Wheels is that the drivers who deliver the food to their customers are committed to reducing the isolation experienced by so many elderly. Frequently the driver may be the only person providing human contact and a safety net, particularly to those seniors who live alone.
