Meals-On-Wheels
Through a partnership with LifeBridge Community Services, we are able to deliver hot meals five days a week to medically house-bound seniors and disabled adults. Contact Rosie Rosa, MOW Coordinator at (203) 877-5131 to learn how to apply and qualifications.

Tax Services

During tax season, we are host to two tax volunteer tax preparation groups. VITA and AARP. This service is free of charge to seniors and low-income residents. To learn more about this program, please contact Paula Honcz, Receptionist at (203) 877-5131. Ask for appointment when the Tax session reopens.

The Milford Food Bank
We offer a variety of perishable and nonperishable foods year-round. Food is allocated based on family size, i.e.; a family of 6 would receive 60 pounds of food for the month. Clients can shop in our pantry and choose the foods they prefer. This reduces waste because clients are getting food they will use.All clients must make an appointment to use Milford food Bank. This allows us to keep an ample stock of perishable food available for our clients.Clients do not need a referral to use our pantry, only the expressed desire to get food. Memory Screening

Free memory screening is offered at the Milford Senior Center bi-annually in February and August ( canceled for August). Screenings are conducted by Yale Social Gerontology and Health Lab nurses and other Dementia care professionals. Screenings generally take 10 minutes or less. Ahrens Program

A Respite Program offers various social supports in a safe group setting. They are designed for adults who don't require constant care in a nursing home or similar facility and can leave their homes to attend these centers. The Ahrens Respite Program is open Mon-Fri, 9AM to 1:30PM. There are currently spaces available.
